Hickory, NC – Frye Regional Medical Center has been presented the Tenet Distinguished Service Award, for providing excellent patient service and for sustaining star status for patient satisfaction for fifty-seven straight months. Frye is also the only Tenet hospital to have ended the year with Five Star Patient Satisfaction two years in a row.
The award was presented to Suzanne Bird, RN, MS, Frye’s Chief Nursing Officer, and Merianne Pyne, Frye’s Administrative Director of Service Excellence, at Tenet’s 2006 Service Excellence Conference in Dallas, Texas, held June 27-28.

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Tenet North Carolina, is a 355-bed acute care facility located at 420 North Center Street in Hickory, NC. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of Catawba County since 1911.
