Frye Anesthesia Technician Appointed Interim Director Region 3 for the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians

    Hickory, NC – Darlene Bolick CST, Cer A T was recently named Interim Director for the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) in Region 3, which consists of 7 southern states. Bolick has been an employee of Frye Regional Medical Center for over 30 years and has served as the chief anesthesia technician for 20 years. 
    The mission of the ASATT is to establish a professional entity for the field of Anesthesia Technology that will positively affect health care and quality standards, by raising the standards of patient care and by providing a safe anesthetic environment. 
    “As the new director of Region 3 ASATT, my primary goal is to encourage members to become more involved in achieving the mission of the organization. I feel confidant that together we can provide a framework to advance the field of anesthesia technologists and technicians,” said Darlene Bolick. 
    ASATT is supported by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). 
    Frye currently employs 9 anesthesia technicians, of which 7 are nationally certified. 
    Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Tenet North Carolina, is a 355-bed acute care facility located at 420 North Center Street in Hickory, NC.
