Hickory, NC – Frye Regional Medical Center announces the addition of Anthony James as the hospital’s new Valet Parking Property Manager for AVP Nationwide Hospitality Services. A native of South Carolina, Anthony recently made Hickory home after moving from Florence, S.C. Originally from Charleston, he attended The Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina where he earned a B.A. in criminal justice and a minor in international politics. Anthony served six years in the National Guard with a specialty in field artillery. He served 12 months in Iraq as a member of a convoy escort team, with his specialty in Iraq being military police. “We are proud to have Tony join Frye as our valet parking property manager. We feel he will be a tremendous asset to the growth and management of this important service offered by the hospital,” said Jim Smith, administrative director for Frye’s support services. Frye offers complimentary valet services to all visitors to the hospital Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Main entrance and from 5:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Same Day Surgery entrance.
