Hickory, NC - Every day, EMS professionals and volunteers risk their lives to save ours. Frye Regional Medical Center recognizes the courage, competence and compassionate commitment of these individuals.
May 14 through 20 is National EMS Week. To celebrate the occasion, Frye Regional Medical Center will honor our local EMS heroes – emergency physicians, emergency nurses, paramedics, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, educators and administrators, police and first responders – with a week long salute.
Commemorative print ads will run throughout the week in local newspapers. Frye will visit the Hickory Police and Fire Departments and will invite EMS workers to a lunch at FRMC – Emergency Department. Alexander County EMS, Fire Fighters, and Police will be invited to a lunch in their honor at Frye’s Alexander Campus Hospital.
“We are proud to honor and support our local EMS professionals,” says Mike Payne, R.N., administrative director of emergency services at Frye. “We admire their dedication to this community.”
