Hickory, NC - - Frye Regional Medical Center welcomes Family Practitioner, Mark J. DeVries, MD, to its medical staff.
Dr. DeVries is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Appalachian State University. He received his medical degree from the East Carolina School of Medicine where he received the CIBA-GEIGY Community Service Award, Class of 1994 Service Award, and the Academic Enrichment Services Award. Dr. DeVries completed his residency at Self Memorial Hospital.
Following his residency, Dr. DeVries worked as a family physician in North and South Carolina. Dr. DeVries is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
“I enjoyed practicing medicine in Alexander County for many years. I am pleased to have the opportunity to return to the area and serve the community in such a meaningful way,” said Dr. DeVries.
