Hickory, NC – Craig Hume has been named Chief Operating Officer of Frye Regional Medical Center. Hume’s first day at Frye will be March 14, 2005.

 Hume recently served as Regional Director of Operations Improvement for the Tenet Central Northeast Southern States Regional Office where he was responsible for the oversight and implementation of Tenet’s Commitment to Quality program at the hospitals in the company’s Central Northeast Region. Hume boasts a 26-year career working in hospitals including an eleven year stay at University Medical Center of Lebanon, Tennessee, as Chief Operating Officer.

Hume received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and his Masters of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
