Hickory, NC - - Frye Regional Medical Center would like to congratulate James T. Barker, II, MD, psychiatrist on staff at Frye, for receiving a Spot the Doc Award.
The Spot the Doc Program is an internal recognition program created to enable nurses to recognize physicians that go above and beyond the call of duty in caring for their patients.
“We appreciate Dr. Barker’s commitment to providing excellent care for our patients and would like to congratulate him on receiving Spot the Doc recognition,” said Denny Bruns, CEO of Frye Regional Medical Center. It is physicians like these that help make Frye such a great place to receive medical care,” added Bruns.
Nurses nominate physicians based on their consistent exemplification of the 12 standards, including attitude, communication, teamwork and integrity.
Nursing leadership then reviews all the physicians nominated to determine the winners. Each winner is awarded a plaque by the Administrative Director responsible for that area.
“I’m very pleased to be recognized in this way,” said Dr. Barker. “I enjoy working with patients at Frye and am glad to see that my efforts are appreciated by the nursing staff,” added Dr. Barker.
