Gregory M. Swank, MD, Joins Medical Staff of Frye Regional Medical Center

Hickory, NC - - Frye Regional Medical Center welcomes plastic surgeon, Gregory M. Swank, MD, to its medical staff. 

Dr. Swank received his undergraduate degree at Rutgers College and his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he was named Neurosurgical Rotating Resident of the Year and served as the Administrative Chief Resident for the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Swank completed a Plastic Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Swank also completed hyperbaric medicine team training at the Nix Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center in San Antonio, Texas.
 
Following his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Swank served as President of Plastic Surgery of Martinsville, P.C. and the Chief of General and Subspecialty Surgery at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.

Dr. Swank is board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
