Frye Regional Medical Center was recently recognized for having the highest patient satisfaction levels among 100 hospitals within their parent company Tenet HealthCare. Frye finished 2003 with the company’s highest patient satisfaction score and was one of only three hospitals in the organization to reach five star status for the year. The patient satisfaction scores are compiled by an independent firm and are based on standardized telephone surveys with patients.
“This is tremendous honor for our dedicated staff and shows our commitment to patient satisfaction,” said Frye CEO Dennis Phillips. “We do not just talk about patient satisfaction at Frye, we live it every day.”
To address their ongoing pursuit of excellence in customer satisfaction, Frye was a founding participant in Target 100, a company wide program working toward the goal of 100 % satisfaction for patients, employee and physicians.
Frye utilizes a variety of interdisciplinary teams to evaluate processes and implement positive change throughout Frye and its facilities. In addition, a variety of sub teams are also active addressing any issues that may enhance patient satisfaction and care.
“We are dedicated to continually improving the way we take care of our patients, physicians and each other,” said Phillips. “It’s an expectation that is now engrained in our culture. The Target 100 process requires a commitment of time, resources and manpower but it is quite simply the right thing to do.”
