The Center for Diabetes Self-Management Care of Frye Regional Medical Center is offering evening educational modules for diabetics in July and August.
“Pre-Diabetes” is the topic of the first scheduled on July 28 from 6-7pm and “Basic Carb Counting” is scheduled for August 11 from 6-7pm. Both will be held at the Center located at 256-A 10th Ave. NE, Hickory.
Conducted by a Certified Diabetes Educator, the charge of the one hour class is $35, which can be submitted for insurance, and counts toward Medicare refresher exchange hours. No physician referral is necessary and patients are invited to invite a support person at no extra charge.
