Frye Regional Medical Center’s Food Service Department Wins Awards

Hickory, NC – Frye Regional Medical Center’s Food Service Department, managed by Morrison Food Service, was recently honored with several awards.

    At a reception held by the North Carolina Rehabilitation Association in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 18, 2006, Frye’s Food Service Department was named the North Carolina Rehabilitation Association’s Chapter 1 Area “2006 Employer of the Year” in the fewer than 200 employees’ category. At the same reception, the association then presented Frye with the “2006 Employer of the Year” award for the entire state of North Carolina in the fewer than 200 employees’ category.

    The Goodwill Association held their annual recognition reception in Winston Salem on November 9, 2006 and presented Frye’s Food Service Department with the “2006 Employer of the Year Award” for Northwest Carolina, in recognition of their dedication to Goodwill’s Mission of “Goodwill Works.”

    Frye was also honored in 2005 as “Employer of the Year - For a Medium Business” by the Catawba County Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities, for expanding employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

    Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Tenet North Carolina, is a 355-bed acute care facility located at 420 North Center Street in Hickory, NC. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of Catawba County since 1911.
