Frye Regional Medical Center has been recognized within its healthcare system, Tenet Healthcare Corporation, for 5-Star status in 2010.
The service excellence awards recognize top-performing hospitals in patient and physician satisfaction. For patient satisfaction, a hospital must achieve a total score PSMS (Patient Satisfaction Measurement System) score of 76 to be recognized as a 5-Star hospital. This is a combination of Inpatient, Outpatient Surgery, and Emergency Department Studies. Nine hospitals within Tenet HealthCare achieved 5-Star status in 2010.
