Nurse Receives Wound Care Certification

The National Alliance of Wound Care (NAWC) and Frye Regional Medical Center are pleased to announce that Jennie Wilcox Martin has successfully passed the examination to become Wound Care Certified (WCC). The WCC credential is a national, NCCA, accredited certification, which is highly regarded and held by the most professional wound care practitioners in the United States.

The WCC credential is a multidisciplinary wound care certification available to licensed wound care professionals from across the healthcare continuum. This certification is the professional recognition that Jennie Wilcox Martin, RN, WCC possesses the qualifications to deliver a high standard in wound care to her patients.

Mrs. Martin is currently employed at the Vein and Wound Center at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, where she works on an outpatient wound care team. Mrs. Martin has been an RN for 10 years and has been working directly in wound care for over four years.

“We are extremely proud of Jennie’s accomplishment in receiving this hard-earned, highly respected certification,” said Tamara Faucette, RN, director of outpatient services at Frye Regional Medical Center.
