Pairoj Rerkpattanapipat, MD, FACP, FACC, FASE, Joins Medical Staff of Frye Regional Medical Center

    Hickory, NC - - Frye Regional Medical Center welcomes cardiologist, Pairoj Rerkpattanapipat, MD, FACP, FACC, FASE to its medical staff. 

    Dr. Rerkpattanapipat received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he received the Peter Mazzoni Memorial Award in 1997.
Following his residency, Dr. Rerkpattanapipat completed a fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center where he served as chief cardiology fellow in 1999 and received the Louis B. Schatz Memorial Award in 2000. 

    Dr. Rerkpattanapipat has received several other awards during his training including the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award 1997 and 2000 as well as the ACC/Bristol-Myers Squibb Affiliate Travel Award in 2000. 

    Following his fellowship, Dr. Rerkpattanapipat served as a faculty member at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina until 2004. Then he served as Director of the Cardiovascular Imaging Section at the Perfect Heart Institute in Bangkok, Thailand. He also served as a faculty member at Chulalongkorn University and Ramathibodhi Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. 

    Dr. Rerkpattanapipat is a member of the Thai Physician Association of America, Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society for Echocardiography, and American College of Physicians. 

    He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography and has received certifications in Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular CT, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Medical Radiation Protection and Radiopharmaceuticals and Chemistry.
