For many, cancer may be a death sentence, but for Denise DeSimone, author of From Stage IV to Center Stage, it became an opportunity to live life to the fullest. At the time of being diagnosed with throat and neck cancer, she was given three months to live. That was six years ago!
Come hear the story of her journey from diagnosis to recovery at the Life Goes On support group meeting on September 17 from 6-8 p.m., held at the AHEC Building, Room 112, 810 Fairgrove Church Road in Hickory.
“We invite you to hear Denise’s story and meet her in person. Your life will be deeply enriched and perhaps changed forever,” said Frye Oncology Nurse Educator Tina Watts, RN, MSN.
