Frye Regional Medical Center’s Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments provides our physicians and the Patient Care Services staff with the information they require to provide diagnoses and treat patients.

Frye Regional Medical Center’s Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments have and continue to acquire and implement some of the latest technology to service the practice needs of our physicians. Personnel have been extensively trained to perform their jobs. Personnel, except for clerical personnel, have been certified by their respective certification organizations.

Frye Regional Medical Center’s Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments currently employs about 39 Full-Time Equivalents (FTE’s). The staff is composed of professional personnel who include Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Histologists, Histology Assistants, Phlebotomists, a Transcriptionist, and a Receptionist. As a part of the team at Frye Regional Medical Center, these persons acquire and analyze patient specimens in a tightly controlled professional environment, prior to reporting the test results to the physician as soon as possible through well designed systems, which include a highly sophisticated information system.
