Dr. Leland J. Cook is the Medical Director for Frye’s Surgical Weight Loss Program.  Dr. Cook received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, where he also completed his residency.  He has specialized in  bariatric surgery since the program’s inception in November 2001.  He is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  He performs the gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric band procedures.
 
 

 

Dr. Montgomery H. Cox is a bariatric surgeon on staff at Frye Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Cox completed his medical degree and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.  He is a Fellow with the American Board of Surgery and an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  Dr. Cox joined the Frye team in July 2003 and performs the gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric banding procedures.
 
 

 

Dr. Jonathan A. Hata is a bariatric surgeon on staff at Frye Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Hata earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2000, and continued on at Duke University Medical Center to complete a residency in general surgery from 2001-2007. Dr. Hata is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the Americal Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Hata joined the Frye team in 2008 and performs the gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and adjustable gastric banding procedures.
