Frye Rehabilitation Services - Close to Home

Frye Regional offers comprehensive rehabilitation and acute care for inpatients as well as outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy. In addition, we have an offsite physical therapy office in Caldwell county specializing in orthopedic and sports injuries.  We provide highly-experienced therapists, a specially-trained rehabilitation physician (physiatrist) and specialized nurses that provide care in a family-oriented environment where individuals who have suffered an illness or injury have the opportunity to rebuild their lives and a higher level of function.

Our services are close to home for people throughout the Greater Hickory Metro Area, thus eliminating the inconvenience of overnight hotel stays or enduring long drives to hospitals out of the area.

Our Programs:

Inpatient Rehabilitation

If you or a loved one are recovering from a stroke, orthopedic injury, traumatic brain injury, or other serious condition and are 18 years or older, Frye Regional’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has the resources to help you recover. According to newly released stroke rehabilitation guidelines developed by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, it is recommended that patients suffering from a stroke be treated at an inpatient rehabilitation facility rather than at a skilled nursing facility.

Frye Regional's care team is comprised of experienced, enthusiastic, highly-specialized interdisciplinary staff that includes:

Rehabilitation Physician (Physiatrist) Josh Brown, MD who sees patients a minimum of three times per week

Rehabilitation Nurses also provide excellent care for patients as well as physical, occupational and speech therapists.
