Nothing builds community like volunteering. Frye volunteers form a closely knit group who enjoy helping others. Many of our volunteers have been with us for more than 10 years. Please consider joining the team.
Volunteer LocationsVolunteers are placed in the following areas to comfort and guide patients with questions and concerns:
- Hospital Gift Shop
- Front desk
- FryeCare Outpatient Imaging Center
- Emergency Department
- Same Day Surgery
Hours/ShiftsWe are very flexible and allow you to work the hours that are most convenient for you. Many of our volunteers work from 8am/9am – 1pm or 1pm – 5pm.
Benefits of VolunteeringVolunteers receive a free meal on each day they work, a free flu shot, holiday gift and are honored at an annual volunteer brunch. The intangible benefits of volunteering include staying active and making friends.

The Volunteen Program at Frye Regional Medical Center is held each summer (June-August) for students ages 14-17.
The Volunteen program offers teens an opportunity to experience the healthcare field. The program is Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1-5 p.m.
