There are steps you can take to improve your sleep. Learn tips for a healthy night's sleep.
When to Consider a Sleep Study
If you are practicing good sleep hygeine and continue to have sleep problems, it may be time to make an appointment with Frye Regional's Sleep Center.
You may benefit from a sleep study if you experience:
- Difficulty Falling Asleep or Staying Asleep
- Pauses in Breathing or Loud Snoring
- Falling Asleep at Inappropriate Times
- Excessive Sleepiness During the Day
Home Sleep Studies
Frye Sleep Center now offers home sleep studies for select patients.
- Sleep studies are available day and night, seven days a week, to accommodate all work schedules
- Quick turnaround time on results
- APNEA testing is available
Sleep Studies for the Shift Worker
Within the Sleep Center we perform night time sleep studies with Cpap/Bipap titrations, oxygen titration, capnography, and nocturnal seizure/REM behavioral disoders with expanded EEG monitoring. We have the capabilities to record very small infants to adults - even severely overweight adults - that are unable to receive sleep studies at other facilities.
For patients that have difficulty with CPAP/Bipap titrations, we offer a desensitization program that enables patients to come to the center and try different equipment to see what is most comfortable and effective. This enables patients that may have a history of claustrophobia to try CPAP before their scheduled appointment. Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT) are also offered for patients that have normal sleep studies but continue to complain of excessive daytime somnulence and narcolepsy.
