Women's Health - Surgical Treatment

Pelvic health disorders can easily affect the quality of life, but while many urinary or pelvic floor disorders can be managed without surgery, there are still times when surgery is the best -- or only -- option. Whatever the issue, schedule an appointment with our Women's Services Specialists to diagnose and treat your condition. They are also trained to perform consultation and surgeries for a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including:

  • Uterine fibroids: Noncancerous growth on the uterus that typically don’t have symptoms but can sometimes lead to heavy menstrual bleeding, urinary problems, or even pelvic pain.
  • Endometriosis: Tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus, which is especially common among women in their 30s and 40s and may make it harder to get pregnant.
  • Uterine prolapse: A condition where the uterus drops from its normal position, typically from weakened pelvic muscles.
  • Menorrhagia: Abnormally heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding, which can be treated with medicine, non-surgical procedures or surgery.
  • Cancer: Including cancers of the cervix, uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.
  • Urinary stress incontinence: A condition when activity like coughing, sneezing, running or heavy lifting puts pressure (stress) on your bladder, causing an unintentional loss of urine.
