10 a.m. – Walk concludes
“This year, we have expanded our walk to include our cardiovascular and stroke survivors,” said Gar Atchison, Frye Regional CEO. “This event continues to grow and we often see families and friends walking together and supporting each other. It’s a great day where we can recognize our survivors and take the opportunity to educate our community on tips that may save their lives or the life of someone they love—from hands-only CPR to ways to prevent heart disease and stroke.”
In addition to the walk (in which individuals are encouraged to walk as much as they’d like around the ¼ mile track), the family-friendly event will include activities for children, stroke and heart risk assessments, hands-only CPR demonstrations and nutritional information.
