Frye Regional Medical Center Welcomes New Graduate Nurses
July 14, 2025
Frye Regional Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint hospital, welcomed its newest cohort of graduate nurses during a special signing day event celebrating the official launch of their nursing careers.
Inspired by the tradition of collegiate athletic signings, the event spotlighted 24 newly licensed registered nurses as they signed letters of intent to begin their roles at Frye Regional. Surrounded by hospital leaders, mentors and team members, the graduates were recognized for reaching this pivotal milestone as they transition from students to practicing health care professionals.
The graduates represent a diverse array of academic institutions, including Belmont Abbey College, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, Chamberlain University, ECPI University, Hondros College of Nursing, Lenoir-Rhyne University, McDowell Technical Community College, Mitchell Community College and Western Piedmont Community College.
“This event symbolizes more than the start of a new job; it marks the beginning of a meaningful journey rooted in service and compassionate care,” said Philip Greene, MD, chief executive officer of Frye Regional Medical Center. “We are honored to welcome these exceptional nurses to our team and look forward to supporting their growth and success.”
During the event, each nurse formally accepted their employment offer and participated in onboarding activities and training alongside their new colleagues. These new team members will serve across various hospital departments, applying their academic knowledge and clinical experience to deliver high-quality patient care.
“Today’s celebration reflects Frye Regional’s ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of health care leaders,” stated Chief Nursing Officer Bridget Denzik, DNP, MSN, RN, NEA-BC. “We are dedicated to providing our graduate nurses with the tools, mentorship and encouragement they need to thrive and make a lasting impact.”
Frye Regional’s ongoing commitment to workforce development is evident in its strong partnerships with regional nursing programs, robust onboarding processes and a culture that fosters continuous learning and professional development.
