Frye Regional Medical Center Welcomes Emily Keneda, PA-C

Frye Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Emily Keneda, PA-C, to its medical staff. Keneda is a board-certified physician assistant who brings experience in surgical care, emergency medicine and primary care, along with a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

During her clinical training, Keneda completed diverse rotations in family medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, pediatric orthopedics, women’s health, internal medicine, psychiatry and outpatient pediatrics. She completed a general surgery rotation at UNC Caldwell in Lenoir, North Carolina, and elective orthopedic rotations in both trauma and pediatric settings in South Carolina. Throughout her training, she scrubbed in on more than 70 surgical cases and gained experience in both inpatient and outpatient surgical settings.

Prior to completing her graduate studies, Keneda worked as a medical assistant at Carley Family Care in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and Lincoln Pediatrics Clinic in Lincolnton, North Carolina.

Keneda earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating magna cum laude from The University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, where she minored in chemistry and human development and family studies and was a member of the Honors College.

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
