Frye Regional Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint hospital, has released its 2025 Community Benefit Report. This annual report highlights the organization’s continued commitment to improving the health and economic vitality of Catawba County and surrounding communities as part of its mission of making communities healthier®.
“Since 1911, Frye Regional has been proud to call Catawba County our home,” said Lindy White, MBA, FABC, chief executive officer of Frye Regional Medical Center. “As a leader in our community, we remain committed to delivering high-quality care, investing in our region’s well-being and making a meaningful impact on those we serve. This includes continued investment in key service lines to expand access to specialized care, as well as a strong focus on workforce development and retention to support and grow the talented team who make that care possible. This report reflects that ongoing commitment.”
The 2025 report highlights Frye Regional’s efforts to meet growing health care needs by welcoming new providers, expanding service lines and investing in its facilities and advanced technology. In 2025, the hospital invested more than $10.6 million in capital improvements, including upgraded patient monitoring equipment, expanded bed capacity and advanced imaging technology to support faster, more accurate diagnoses.
Frye Regional also provided more than $71 million in health services and other uncompensated services, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring access to care for all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
As one of the region’s largest employers, Frye Regional continues to support a strong health care workforce. In 2025, the hospital distributed approximately $158 million in salaries, wages and benefits to more than 1,500 employees and invested more than $1 million in professional development and tuition assistance, supporting continued learning, growth and high-quality patient care.
The organization also contributed more than $35 million in state and local taxes, while supporting numerous community organizations and initiatives through sponsorships and charitable donations.
“We are incredibly grateful for the trust our community places in us,” said White. “That trust is made possible by the dedication of our providers and employees. As we look ahead, we remain committed to honoring our legacy while continuing to enhance the ways we serve our neighbors and communities.”
