Frye Regional Medical Center Welcomes Genevieve Morales, FNP-C

Frye Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Genevieve Morales, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with extensive experience in gastroenterology and hepatology, to its medical staff. Morales will provide comprehensive care for adult patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
Her clinical interests include cirrhosis management, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) management, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dysphagia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other general gastroenterology conditions. Morales brings more than six years of advanced practice experience, including more than four years specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has extensive experience caring for patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams to improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience.
Prior to joining FryeCare Gastroenterology, Morales served as a family nurse practitioner with Rutherford Regional Health System in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, where she provided primary and chronic disease management care for adult patients. She also previously practiced with Gastroenterology Associates in Hickory and with Atrium Health, serving patients in Cleveland and Shelby, North Carolina.
“I am passionate about helping patients better understand and manage gastrointestinal conditions so they can improve their quality of life,” said Morales. “I look forward to building lasting relationships with patients and providing compassionate, personalized care close to home.”
Morales earned her master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
She maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Morales is affiliated with the American Nurses Association, North Carolina Nurses Association and the Association of Nurse Practitioners.
