Frye Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome board-certified physician assistant Erika Jones, PA-C, to its medical team, expanding access to cardiovascular care for patients across the region.
Jones provides care for adults with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol and valvular heart disease. She also cares for patients with ischemic heart disease and those recovering from heart attacks. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular risk reduction, medication management and lifestyle modification.
As part of ongoing cardiac care, Jones provides follow-up for patients with pacemakers and other implantable cardiac devices, including post-procedure evaluations and device interrogations. Her experience in cardiovascular diagnostic testing includes electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress testing, echocardiography and laboratory assessments.
Jones earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from South College in Asheville, North Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
“I am passionate about helping patients better understand and manage their heart health,” said Jones. “I look forward to working alongside our cardiovascular team to provide high-quality, personalized care that helps patients achieve their best possible outcomes.”
